Blondie picking through the dirt for any stray blades of grass

It was gloomy all day, until I emerged from my office to head over to the barn.  Then the sun popped out from behind the clouds, and it suddenly became a beautiful night for riding.

Kim and her mom were loading up Star for the equestrian team practice when I pulled up.  After they left, it was awfully quiet. I got Blondie brushed off and tacked up, and off to the ring we headed.

The ride was a little shorted than I would have liked, but Blondie was feeling rather full of herself.  I'm not sure if they turned her out, she was acting so stupid.  She and one of the horses in the barn keep screaming at each other almost the entire ride.  It was like a flashback to the Spring Show, with her utterly juvenile behavior. 

She cantered both directions within a couple of steps of being cued, and she did mostly everything I asked for, except shutting up, so I called it quits before we both got into trouble.  Once out of the arena, she and the other horse fell eerily quiet.  I'm not even sure who was egging her on!
