I’m It – Eight Things You Didn’t Know About Me – And Probably Didn’t Want To
Beckz from I Will Jump Sweet Jumps tagged me, and being flattered that someone actually is interested, here goes:
1. I didn't start riding until I was 40. 40! What an idiot!
2 I was inspired to start riding after reading a silly regency romance novel. Oh, and Dean told me I was getting old, so I had better start soon if I planned on starting at all. Something about fragile bones, if I recall correctly.
3. I must be mentally impaired, because I am thinking about getting another horse. Yes, the constant battle of wills with one half ton creature is just not enough for me!
4. I originally started taking jumping lessons, but the trainer totally flaked out on me and stole my prepaid lesson money to boot!
5. In keeping with the late bloomer theme, I didn't start to obsessively read comics/manga until I entered college.
6. I did not become interested in photography until after I attended my first horse show. Now I take my camera with me everywhere!
7. My dog weighs as much as I do, and he has knocked me down and dragged me across the yard. Twice. With the help of the Gentle Leader and increased arm strength from riding, he doesn't do this anymore.
8. I committed the cardinal sin when purchasing my horse. I had only been riding for 6 months, and purchased a green broke 3 year old. After almost 2 years, I am only now feeling comfortable and confident when riding her.
