Celebrate the Festival of Lights, Fairfax City’s official launch of the holiday season, with a new 2020 twist: a virtual presentation of the annual tree lighting.

Experience the same magic in the safety and comfort of your own home. Grab a blanket, make some hot cocoa, and tune in at 5:55 p.m. on Saturday, December 5.

The Mayor and City Council — and Santa — will be virtually present, and will say a few words, before the tree is lit for all to see.
