Welcome to City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation Department's Summer Camp Programs!
***ALL CITY OF FAIRFAX 2020 CAMPS CANCELLED***
We have been working very hard over the past few months to make a decision on camps for the 2020 summer. After vigilant consultation with local health officials, school representatives, other regional recreation providers and local government officials, the decision was made to cancel ALL 2020 City of Fairfax summer camp programs. With the health and safety of the entire community including campers and staff as the City of Fairfax’s top priority, we felt there were too many challenges to ensure we run camps safely this summer. We fully recognize that this difficult decision will be disappointing to families but hope that you are understanding. Please know that we did not make this decision lightly and we are deeply saddened that there will be no summer camp offered this year.
All families will receive a full refund/credit (see options below):
- REFUND:No further action required- you will be automatically issued a refund back to the same credit card you make your payments.
- Make sure your credit card is saved on your campdoc.com file and the ‘organization permission’ button is selected.
- CREDIT ON ACCOUNT FOR 2021:If you prefer to have the fees you have already paid for 2020 be held as a credit for 2021 - you will receive a 5% bonus credit if you choose this option!For a credit only please complete the form here no later than Wed. May 27:
Insurance plans are purchased directly through Campdoc, so please contact them if you have any questions on that.
Many of our third party camp partners will be offering virtual options will be sent out very soon as well.
We value all of our camp families and recognize that our camp programs are vital part of our community. We look forward to having camp again in 2021!

Registration Payments and Discounts

Sòng bài trực tuyếnAt the time of registration, you may choose to pay for the entire summer in full or go on a payment plan. If you choose to use the Payment Plan option, you will be required to enroll in the Automatic Payment Plan with a credit card to be held on file. |
| Payment Plan Schedule |
|
A deposit of $100 (Full summer) or $25 (each individual session) will be due at the time of registration and the remaining balance will be split into three equal payments. They will be charged to the credit card on file March 1st, April 1st, and May 1st. If registering after a payment date, the deposit and past payment amounts will be due at the time of registration. |
| Sibling Discount |
| A sibling discount will be applied for families registering for camp with two or more children in the same household. A discount of $50 off the FULL summer registration is given for each child in a family of two or more. Qualifiers: A ‘sibling’ is categorized as one of two or more individuals having one or both parents in common. |
| Refunds & Transfers |
| To request a refund, a Refund Request Form must be completed. If approved, refunds will be processed minus a $100 fee for the full summer or $25 for each withdrawn session. No refunds will be given after June 14th. Space permitting, transfers into different sessions will be allowed and a $20 transfer fee will be charged. |
| Financial Assistance |
|
Financial Assistance is available for CITY OF FAIRFAX residents who qualify. Please read and complete the Financial Assistance Application. All applicants must call to make an appointment: 703-385-7858 or email karen.lussier@fairfaxva.gov. Deadline for Financial Assistance for camps is June 1, 2020. |
Field Trips
The costs of the field trips are incorporated into the price of the camp. Please see the specific description for the amount and types of field trip(s) for each camp. Field trip calendars will be available in April.
Emergency Contact/Medical Forms
It is REQUIRED that all guardians complete a new Health Profile online every yearSòng bài trực tuyến. These forms are available CampDoc.com and should be completed AFTER your child is registered for camp. They include emergency contacts, health history and other important information for camp staff to keep your child as safe as possible. These forms must be completed NO LATER than June 1st. Children will not be permitted to be dropped off at camp without completing this online form.

Preschoolers and Rising Kindergarteners, have fun in the sun this summer at Sunshine Kidz Day Camp! This camp will provide children with activities which will include arts and crafts, show & share, special events, games, field trips and water activities (such as sprinklers, there are no swimming pool activities). Other activities may include puppet shows, picnics, storytellers and cultural events. Children will develop important social skills while playing with their friends and leaders in a fun and safe environment. Each week, campers will attend one local field trip. Lanier Middle Summer Day Camp!

Campers will be able to utilize their creative, physical and intellectual abilities in a safe and fun environment. Teamwork, communication and self-esteem will be reinforced with all participants. Specialists in the areas of art and sports will visit the camp each week. All summer day camp participants will attend two age-appropriate field trip as well as one water-related trip each week. Teen Travel Summer Day Camp

Teen Travel Camp has been revamped to include age-appropriate field trips five days a week. This camp offers a wide variety of activities for teens in a safe, friendly and supervised environment. Based out of the Green Acres Center teens will participate in activities such as team building, games, and much more. Each day, they will travel on a new adventure to develop and refine skills in areas such as leadership, teamwork, and socialization. Check out the video below to see what we were up to all summer!

2020 Specialty Camps
**Please note: Due to COVID-19, Specialty Camps the week of Jun 15-19 and Jun 22-26 have been cancelled**
Specialty Camps are designed for children of various ages and focus on specific activities. The interactive camps will help your child learn while having fun this summer!

Registration for Specialty Camps is open and ongoing until full. A deposit of $25 is required at the time of registration. The remaining balance will be split into three equal payments, that will automatically be charged to the credit card on file in March, April and May . If registering after a payment date, the deposit and past payment amounts will be due at the time of registration. Full payment is due if registering for a specialty camp after May 1st.

| Low Enrollment |

| The Fairfax City Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel Specialty Camps due to low enrollment or other extenuating circumstances. Registered participants will be notified via email or phone call, seven days prior to the start date of the camp. | |||
